After defeating Guinea 4:0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, Ghana advanced to the next round of the Olympic qualifications for the Paris 2024 Games.
Having won the first leg 3-0 in Conakry, the Black Queens qualified with a 7-0 overall record.
After the first kick, Doris Boaduwaa, who had been on the receiving end of a ball from midfielder Evelyn Badu, struck the crossbar.
The 36th minute saw Evelyn Badu’s solo run score the game’s first goal, bringing the day’s heroism to a successful conclusion. To defeat Mawa Traoré and give Ghana a flawless start to the game, Badu unleashed a strong shot strike into the far left corner.
Going into the interval, the Black Queens had a small lead.
Within 65 minutes, Badu scored her second goal of the game via a rebound, giving Ghana a 3–0 advantage.
After receiving a beautiful pass from Princella Adubea on the right side, substitute Fridaus Yakubu increased the score to four in the 85th minute.
Ghana advances to the next round with a 7:0 overall score. In October, the team’s second round opponent will be Benin.
