Black Sherif was reportedly detained on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Kotoka International Airport (KIA). The VGMA Artiste of the Year for 2023 was detained, according to a post on Instagram by blogger @ghhyper1.

Additional details about the circumstances behind Black Sherif’s arrest have been revealed by Daniel Vanderpuye, CEO of Cruise People Limited. Vanderpuye claimed that despite using every legal strategy at their disposal to resolve their disagreements with the rapper, he refused to cooperate.

Black Sherif’s official Twitter account tweeted a clip to advertise his most recent music video, Oh Paradise, in the midst of the rumors, which raised some questions about the report. Later, word spread that the 21-year-old had been taken into custody, and footage of him being led into a police van quickly went viral.

Daniel Vanderpuye claimed in an appearance with Joy News that his organization went above and above to prove its case against the musician.
