Allowances Totaling More Than GH¢240m Will Be Paid To Teacher Trainees

The national payment of Teacher Trainee Allowances would cost around GH¢241.9 million, according to a government announcement.

For the 2022–2023 academic year, GH32.4 million has also been made available to pay for books and research allowances for senior qualified students enrolled in public tertiary institutions, including colleges of education.

At the 14th Graduation of the Saint Monica’s College of Education at Asante Mampong, the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, made this announcement in a speech that was delivered on his behalf by the Director of Tertiary Education at the Ministry of Education, Professor Yahyra Dzakadzi.
