The Stateman has not passed away, according to the former president’s office. This comes after rumors that the previous president had passed away gained traction on social media over the weekend, on Monday, and on Tuesday.

However, the 84-year-old former President is still alive and well, according to his Special Assistant and Spokesperson, Dr. Kwabena Osei-Adubofour.

Over the past few days, persistent rumors of the alleged demise of Former President John Kufuor have flooded the office of the former leader.

We want to vehemently refute this claim and affirm that the former president is still very much alive and well.

We therefore implore the people to rid itself of these malevolent and paranormal rumors that appear out of nowhere.

The office additionally exhorts anybody who may be responsible for spreading such heinous lies to stop doing so going forward; there have been far too many.

We can only assume that those who commit these crimes do so to cause trouble and possibly for illogical political motives. We ask that God keep blessing our previous president.
